Sketch Comedy

One of the greatest things about the Internet, and specifically video sites like YouTube, is that it allows random people to do sketch comedy. Random people, as Wikipedia has taught us, are like the free market - they are always correct and the best solution to any problem. Well, my problem today was picking a video to share.

Stupid Boyfriends

Today's video demonstrates why it's always best to stalk women before flirting with them. Situations such as these can be avoided simply by taking the time to get to know a girl before wasting time being helpful.

With a title like that, do I really need to say anything else?

Musical Comedy

Being a musical comedian has many advantages. The audience doesn't get tired of your material as quickly when it's set to music, and it's easy to split it up and market singles. Most importantly, it somehow gives you the freedom to be as offensive as you want without actually offending people.

More Mario Fun

It's videos like this that make me realize how truly unambitious I am. I mean, I've drank enough beers, owned enough remote control cars, and have enough musical ability that I could have done this years ago. But did I? No, sadly, I did not. Luckily for the rest of us lazy bums, these guys took it to task to put it all together so we don't have to.

P.S. - It's also kind of cool to see musical tempo implemented with linear distance.

That's Showbiz

My grandfather used to take me to Showbiz Pizza regularly so I could watch the herky-jerky animatronic robot machines perform their songs. I never got a chance to apologize to him for having to endure all of those rockin' songs for kids, but apparently no apologies are in order. They actually appealed to kids at one level, but attended to the adults on another - kinda like whip cream and Britney Spears.

Have you ever made love to a thug in a club? I don't care who's watchin'!

Old School Cops

The Ben Stiller Show, while not consistent, had some really great sketches, and more importantly brought some amazing talent out of the woodwork that eventually spawned the all-time greatest - Mr. Show with Bob and David. Probably my favorite series of sketches on the show was a parody on Cops. I'll be posting some other standouts from this show in posts to come. Stay tuned...
